Covid-19 Statement (Updated as of May 06, 2020)

Dear Guest,

On behalf of our family and our staff, we hope this message reaches you in good health. We recognize that these are uncertain times. As our community and the world adapts to these unusual circumstances, I wanted to share with you what we are doing at the Tidewater Inn during this challenging time.

The Tidewater Inn is currently open. Our sister property Hunters Green will delay opening for the season until after June 5th, 2020.

Working together and under the direction of Federal, State and Town of Yarmouth Health Office, we have taken specific steps to safeguard both our guests and staff.

COVID-19 has created unprecedented challenges. As a precaution, new measures have already been implemented to help minimize the risk of any transmission. In addition, we have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting areas of high use. Some specifics:

 

After the initial deep cleaning, every room is inspected and sanitized a second time before being placed back into service. 

Focused 10 High-Touch Points Deep Clean will be practiced up on each check-out and inspection – Door Handles, TV remotes, Thermostats, Light Switches and more.

TV remotes, we have upgraded every room with hospital grade clean remotes (no raised button) that are easy to sanitize.

All bed linens & terry, including blankets and duvets are washed daily with a hospital grade sanitizing detergent.

Every air-conditioners filter and controls are sanitized.

Limited housekeeping service. To limit cross contamination, daily room service will be provided only upon request. Guests can always request fresh or extra room supplies (towels, soap, coffee, etc.).

Common Areas: All common areas, including hallways and lobbies are disinfected multiple times daily. 

Primary Disinfectant: “Peroxide Multi-Surface Cleaner & Disinfectant” provided by ECOLAB. Also ECOLAB santizer dispensers will be placed in all common spaces. 

Amenity Closures: Helen’s Diner and Swimming Pools

In compliance with the statewide ban, Helen’s Diner our breakfast restaurant is closed until further notice.  No breakfast is available on property but there are few great breakfast restaurants close to Tidewater Inn which will be recommended upon check-in. 

Communal areas including our swimming pools and our game room are also closed. 

Reservation Flexibility

We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options. Given the unique circumstances presented by COVID-19, we have modified the following booking policies. 

Active Reservations: All reservations, including “non-refundable” ones that are scheduled for arrival on or before June 30, 2020 can be changed or cancelled at no charge, up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival day. 

New Reservations: Any new reservations you make, including “non-refundable” ones that are booked between now and June 30, 2020 for any future arrival date in 2020 can be changed or cancelled at no charge, up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival day. 

If you did not book directly with the hotel and need to modify reservations made through another travel site (Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Orbitz, etc…), please contact them directly for assistance. Any reservations you made, including “non-refundable” can be changed or cancelled at no charge, up to 72 hours before your scheduled arrival day.
